Out of the box, it appears to be everything I hoped it would be. Overall Review: I research a lot of MFC devices and found the Brother MFC-7840w, to be the best product for the price (Newegg was having a monster sale on it - Yay Newegg! You Rock!). Would be nice if Brother either shipped the MFC-7840w with the TN-360, or gave you a coupon for a reduced price when you have to purchase the TN-360 after the TN-330 is used up. Only comes with the TN-330 "starter" toner cartridge (1000 pages) instead of the full-sized TN-360. Didn't recognize my SSID, even though I was broadcasting it so I had to enter it manually (again, no biggee there). You have to use the manual feed slot instead of being able to use the ADF, which would have been a nice feature. Worked well with both my XP computer and my Vista 64-bit notebook.Ĭons: No Duplexer (oh well, you can't have everything). Setup was a snap (if you follow the directions). Easy to administer via the BR Professional Admin, or via any browser.
